About our Appliances

• I live on the 10th floor in a building with no elevator. And I have a vicious dog that does not like visitors. Will you still deliver the appliances to me?
  Yes.
• Where do you get your appliances?
  Most of our appliances are donations. Sometimes, if we run short of certain sizes, we purchase new appliances as well. Feel free to donate any mini fridges or microwaves you have. We'll put you down on our list of donors and we'll send you a thank you card.
• What if I need something other than a mini fridge or a microwave?
  Tell us! We want to serve your needs. If we don't offer something you would like to rent while living in the dorms, we want to know.
• My fridge leaks/exploded/froze my milk. Now what?
  Just call us. We will either fix it or replace it. And apologize profusely, of course.
• I'm moving out, when are you coming to pick up the fridge?
  We will pick one or two days to do our moving and let you know. If those days/times do not work, we will find a time individually for you.

About Microfinance

• What is microfinance?
  It's the idea that credit is a human right and should be made available to everyone, regardless of the economic climate they live in or were born into. Here's a more detailed blog post.
• How does renting a fridge from you help alleviate global poverty?
  We use your money to make loans to people in impoverished countries who don't have access to big banks. The loans are used to start or improve a small business that provides the borrower a way to increase cash flow for themselves and their families. The concept is called microfinance and has been around since the 70s.
